Silver-ground Carpet

Xanthorhoe montanata (70.054)

The Silver-ground Carpet is a widespread and relatively common species in Warwickshire. It prefers damp woodland and is regularly observed during the day-time.

The adult moths are on the wing between mid May and late July.
